5426 Multicell Horn 3x4

This 3x4 (12-cell) multicell horn is designed to provide constant directivity and smooth, even sound dispersion. Its modular 2-piece design allows for easy printing on standard build volumes while maintaining structural rigidity and acoustic decoupling.

GEOMETRY & ACOUSTIC EXPANSION

• Multicell matrix: 12 independent cells (3 rows × 4 columns). This partitioning maintains controlled coverage across the horizontal and vertical axes, preventing beam narrowing (beaming) at high frequencies.

• Expansion profile: Calculated using exponential / Tractrix acoustic expansion formulas to optimize acoustic loading, extend low-end response, and minimize internal diffraction.

• Throat adapter transition: Smooth internal transition geometry bridging the circular driver exit and the 12-channel 3x4 cell matrix.

• Modular assembly: Separated into two main components joined by bolted flanges:

  • Throat entry adapter with threaded driver mount and rear support foot.

  • Main 3x4 multicell horn body with integrated mounting tabs at the mouth base.
